About the Race
The Caring People, a host of sponsors, and White Water park host an incredible family friendly run…The Dash to the Splash each June. The event was created in 2008 with the first 5 K run held in June 0f 2009. The race is modeled after the highly successful Run to the Lights event held each year in Branson in November at Silver Dollar City. White Water agreed to partner with The Caring People to bring yet another family friendly race to the Ozarks.
The first 500 runners will receive a one day pass, to be used before July 2, 2011, to the White Water park. It’s a great way to enjoy the park after working up a sweat during the run. The inagural run brought a lot of smiles and wonderful comments from our runners. Many said it was the best new family run held in June in the Ozarks.
All proceeds go to The Caring People, a 501-C 3 organization that reaches out to Single Moms with unconditional love and support.

Order of Events
Race Day is June 18, 2011.
6:30-7:15am: On-site packet pick-up at Guest Relations at White Water.
7:15am: Welcome from the Caring People, an organization reaching out to Single Moms.
7:20am: Race Direction
7:25am: 5K Race Line-up
7:30am: Start 5K
9:00am: Awards ceremony begins. Sponsorship recognition, Age group winners, and door prizes!
9:30am: Thank you and dismissal! Use passes in packet to get into White Water before July 2, 2011!
FAQ
Parking – All participants & spectators please park in White Water parking lot in center- follow parking attendant.
Bib Numbers – Please pin bib numbers flatly to the front of your shirt. Do not remove chip until you cross the finish line. Bins will be placed around the finish line for you to place your chip. You may keep your actual bib number. All unreturned timing chips will inccur a $25.00 fee.
Course Instructions – The course will be marked with signs and barricades. The race will be led. Upon your finish, please stay around Guest Relations, the awards ceremony will begin at this location.
Lost & Found – There will be a Lost & Found bin at Guest Relations.
Spectators – The starting line will be by Guest Relations and the 5K finish line will be close by. Please loudly cheer our participants on and be careful not to get in their way!
Door prizes – All participants will be eligible to win door prizes during the awards ceremony including:
- Several Gift Certificates for Two to local shows and attractions BUT YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
